NEWS

On March 22, Dodie Bellamy (MFAW faculty) will deliver the keynote address for Isms: An Exploration into the Invisible Barriers of Classification a conference at CalState Northridge.

A selection of work by Tom Comitta (MFAW ‘11) has been “extruded into ‘art’” and will be on street view in Zurich, Switzerland.


PUBLICATION

Allie Chandler (MFAW ‘15) will have two poems published in HAARP via Hexagon Press which will then be featured at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive’s exhibition “The Possible”.

Kevin Killian (MFAW faculty) has a review of the recent Oscar’s broadcast on the Fanzine; in the March 2014 edition of ArtForum, he has a review of the Tom of Finland/Bob Mizer show at LA MOCA.

Nora Toomey (MFAW ‘14) has some poems in the latest issue of Harmonium.

Katie Wudel (MFAW ‘06), Managing Editor for Our Minutes, has a new post “Panerai Brings Galileo’s Radical Discovery to Life.”

Sarah Bushman (MFAW ‘13) has a poem, “For My Valentine” on Samizdat.

KQED Pop’s Emmanuel Hapsis (MFAW ‘09) on the closing of Esta Noche; the viral “Dunkin Love” Beyonce parody; an interview with the Bay Area artists of the parody, Reggie White and Adrian Anchondo; the only Oscar 2014 moments worth talking about; and the latest from Beach House; David Aloi (MFAW ’09) on what your pick for Best Picture says about you.
