NEWS

Congratulations to Caroline Goodwin (MFAW faculty) for being named the first  San Mateo County Poet Laureate! Check out the press release on Montara Fog.

Congratulations to Connor Maley (MFAW '11) for being awarded a scholarship and stipend into the Can Serrat Writing and Art Residency in El Bruc, Spain!
Kevin Killian (MFAW faculty) is currently participating in a collection of photographs, "Still Here: Photos of San Francisco," curated by Johnny Ray Hutson at Alley Cat Books Gallery, until October 15th.


PUBLICATION

Stephen Leeper (MFAW '15) and Chloe Veylit (MFAW '13) both have poems in the latest issue of Monday Night.

KQED Pop blogger Emmanuel Hapsis (MFAW '09) on Morrisey's support for This Charming Charlie, Laura Schadler (MFAW' 07) on Pop Culture Shock and Alex Vikmanis (MFAW '10) on the coolness of the Opera.

Kevin Killian (MFAW faculty) has co-organized a chapbook of poetry along with Frank Smigiel, Field Work: Mark di Suvero at Crissy Field—Poets Respond, available now at SFMOMA's museum store. Read Kevin's introduction on SFMOMA's blog.  

Opal Palmer Adisa (MFAW faculty) has a new book of poetry coming out, 4-headed Woman, from Tia Chucha Press. Pre order a copy now.

Monday Night, a literary journal established in 2001, publishes quality literature of new and emerging writers from around the world. Monday Night is distributed at independent bookstores and sold on our website, and all work accepted for print is simultaneously published online.

Writers are invited to submit previously unpublished work during our open reading periods from September 1-December 15. any submissions received outside of this timeframe will NOT be read. Please follow our guidelines carefully. To determine if your work might be a good fit for us, take a look at our most recent edition.
