Congratulations to Jenn Virskus (MFAW '13) for her fellowship to the Summer Literary Seminar in Vilnius, Lithuania!

Congratulations to Militza Jean-Felix (MFAW '12) on her acceptance to the 2013 Lambda Literary Foundation Emerging Writers Retreat! Help Militza get to LA from Boston by contributing to her funding goal on the Lambda Literary site.

Congratulations to Justin Hall (MFAC Faculty) for winning a Lambda Literary Award in the LGBTQ Anthology category for editing No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics!

Ron Silliman dropped some props to Kate Colby (MFAW '04) on his blog Silliman's Blog which includes a link to an audio recording of Kate reading at Dia:Chelsea from February 11, 2013.

A review of reading series MFA MIXER 2.0, in which many MFAW students participate in, is up on Litseen.


PUBLICATION

Caroline Goodwin (MFAW Faculty) has a new book out! Trapline is available to ship and order now.

The latest issue of Konch includes an editorial on Good Black Arts and Bad Black Arts by Ishmael Reed (MFAW Visiting Faculty), a poem by Samiat Salami (MFAW '14) and a review of Jamaica Kincaid's book by Opal Palmer Adisa (MFAW Faculty).

Samizdat Journal, edited by Jeff Von Ward (MFAW '12), has published a story by Gloria Frym (MFAW Faculty).

KQED Pop bloggers are not the lamestream media: David Aloi (MFAW '09) checks in on movies that were booed at Cannes; Emmanual Hapsis (MFAW '09) discusses Amanda Bynes and our role in her downward spiral; Laura Schadler (MFAW '07) exhibits the return home via film.
