Ishmael Reed (MFAW visiting faculty)'s seventh play, "The Final Version," opens Off-Broadway at the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe, opening December 12th for 22 performances.

David E. Mitchell (MFAW '11) has a new story, "A Night in Sofia" published in the first issue of Blank Fiction Magazine.

Gloria Frym (MFAW faculty) has a new prose piece, "Mother May I" in the new issue of The Minnesota Review, and an essay in the new anthology, The Heart of All That Is:  Reflections on Home, from Holy Cow! Press.

Stephen Beal (CCA President) has a gallery showing, colored linens, from November 16 through December 21 at the George Lawson Gallery. See below for opening info.

It was announced in Publishers Marketplace that Julie Lythcott-Haims (MFAW '14)'s parenting manifesto on how to raise successful young adult's in the 21st century went to Barbara Jones at Holt at auction, for publication in Summer 2015. Congratulations Julie!
